Acute Healthcare Facility
The project scope consisted of the development of an approximately 30 acre Campus in Winchester, Kentucky to accommodate a new, 79 bed, approximately 131,000 square foot, one-story Replacement Facility for Clark Regional Medical Center (CRMC).
CRMC is one of nine community hospitals in Kentucky that are part of LifePoint Hospitals regional network. This state-of-the-art replacement facility fulfills a commitment LifePoint made to the community when it acquired CRMC in May of 2010.
The new CRMC Replacement Facility features a forward-thinking, one-level design configured around a “Central Spine” – from which each Department of the Hospital stems. This configuration enhances patient flow, and eliminates the vertical congestion found in many multi-floor facilities by creating an easily navigable floor plan accessible from a single main entrance. CRMC is the first 100 percent geothermal hospital in Kentucky.
