    Indatus Headquarters

    Louisville, KY

    ~55,000 gsf

This Project encompasses renovation of the Bridges and Smith Buildings at 118 to 122 East Main Street for the Indatus Corporation in Louisville, Kentucky. This Project consists of a concrete-framed, ~18,000 sf two-story building and a wood-framed ~37,000 sf four-story building. Portions of the existing buildings range from the late 1800’s to the 1940’s. SHA researched the history of the buildings, and successfully had them placed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Miller Paper Company Buildings.

SHA’s design for the renovation of this property as a new Corporate Headquarters for a data, software, and telecommunications company reflects the high-tech nature of the company while respecting the historic nature and unique aspects of the buildings. The SHA design also successfully met the requirements for obtaining state and federal Tax Credits for Historic Renovation.

In addition to the restoration of exterior, the work inside includes the installation of new Elevator and Stairs, structural repairs, renovation of historic office spaces, and installation of new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. New uses for the buildings include: a state of the art Data Center, Product Demonstration areas, a Call Center, Signage and Production area, and corporate Offices.

SHA provided Architecture and Interior Design services for this Project.
